"Leila wanted something special to symbolize her deep friendship with these women. After some study and drawing, I presented the possibility of the Celtic friendship knot. The knot is ordinarily long and tight. Leila automatically envisioned it round and open. I loved that input and went to work. Qualities of endearment kept me striving to develop a human embrace within the knot. Leila met her Australian husband Pete in Kenya while they were both doing missionary work. They are passionately dedicated to taking care of children.
