Description:
The sterling silver Friendship Knot Small is .9" x .65" in size.
The Celtic Knot was designed for K's daughter Leila to give her bridesmaids.
"Leila wanted something special to symbolize her
deep friendship with these women. After some
study and drawing, I presented the possibility of
the Celtic friendship knot. The knot is ordinarily
long and tight. Leila automatically envisioned it
round and open. I loved that input and went to work.
Qualities of endearment kept me striving to
develop a human embrace within the knot.
Leila met her Australian husband Pete in Kenya
while they were both doing missionary work.
They are passionately dedicated to taking care
of children. In honor of Pete and Leila's work, we have become a donor to an organization
called Save The Children.(http://www.savethechildren.org/)
I found the following on a Girl Scout website and wanted to share it with others -
At first it might perhaps seem strange that the Friendship Knot,
also known as the Japanese Crown or Success Knot has
found its way, across thousands of miles, to us. In reality it
isn't really so strange at all, for friendship knows no barriers.
This knot is also aptly named for is it not so, that one's
crowning success is friendship?"
